Outside the orphanage, where they could be easily seen, Mark's two active children were chasing each other, playing games happily as any other usual kid would.
About 300 meters away, the asylum lies standing eerily. Any sight of the asylum sends chills down everyone's spine. On the 20th floor of the asylum, where Mark's room is, Mark is looking down at the orphanage, looking at his children playing. He felt guilty at times for not being able to stop his wife from committing the terrible suicide. He would stare at the children and tears would roll from his eyes. Those were real tears, tears which are so real that no anyone on the earth could have wept it out. He was guilty conscious and extremely sad, for he knew that his children, will have to stand up on their own feet and carry themselves. He knew that his children will have no answer when asked where their parents are. He knew that his children will never understand the true love of parents, the true bonding between the children and parents. Because of this overwhelming sadness which has had a deep cut in his deepest of heart, he had been mentally disturbed and has not been talking ever since. He would just stare at someone without knowing it, and with silence. He never cried. He never wept. He never wiped his tears. The tears just roll down from his crystal eyes and he seems unconscious of it.
He was not in control of his own body, he was unaware of his surrounding. All he knew was that his children are in safe, but cold hands. Sometimes in his brainwaves, some images appear and his eyes dilate a little and whisper something to himself. There was once when the guard was near him and he whispered something. The guard approached and all he heard was "the end is near". He would never repeat it, but he said it to himself, not to anybody else. He was a weird guy to everyone, and definitely capable of staying silent at all times.
Away in the city, the apartment was still there. No demolitions were carried out for the authorities respect the dead. The floor was emptied, and the floors beneath and above it were emptied as well. In a short 2 weeks time, there was not a live person in the whole block. In the apartment, lies the lifeless body of Heather Drew.
Her body was still there.
Not even a bit decayed. She was as she was when she died.
The curious thing was, no one was to mention the name of Heather Drew.
It was reported that when a helicopter passed by the apartment from the outside, there was an opening which sees a mirror reflecting Heather Drew's face directly. And when the pilot was shining at the mirror, he said "Heather Drew she is? How cruel was the suicide", and there was a blink in Heather Drew's eyes.
A blink, which caused the pilot's death.
Heather Drew, blinked.
