The Road Taken

We often hear and discuss about the road not taken. How deterring it may seem to men and how men should take it and not succumb to failure in order to succeed in life. But I'd like to discuss about the road taken, which has already been quite a negligence to modern literature.

We walk the roads daily. We wak them, we jump on them, we run on them, we drive over them, we ride over them, we chit chat on them, we fall on them. Typically, we live on them, the roads.

A simple device made up of trillions of trillions of small stones or pebbles made it possible for men to climb up the hill, walk without slipping, and a place to hang out. The question here is, how much do we value our roads?

Simply, we'll refer just to the roads in front of our house. We don't think much of it let alone appreciate it, do we? We just think that it is a neccesity, and since it is a common, we don't put our thoughts on it. Just imagine, the roads, which have held so many vehicles and pedestrians, have not cracked easily. The greatest weight lifter on the Earth, I would like to think of it as. It has only fallen to one, which is a natural disastr, the Earthquake. Besides that, I can't think of anything else which can possible destroy it physically.

But, human beings have tarnished its image. We complain about the unevenness of the surface, how rough it is and toddlers forbidden to trod on them. We are born to the roads, literally. The very moment we learn how to walk, we walk on them.

We live on the roads, and they teache us the most.

From my photograph, I tried to capture a somewhat silent moment for people to deepl understand the greatness of the road. How rough you can see the pebbles are, but how long it takes us to the end, eventually leading us to the light.

The light of Eden, taketh me home!
