Independence?

What I find about myself is that I like to talk about music and personal opinions, a lot.. I don't know why these interest me so much. I just love talking about these two things. It's like I'm searching answers to 2 questions from these two topics, one question each. But how can I possibly write out everything, all my questions on these two topics? Oh, my ideas don't dry up like the deepest well... No, they don't. But they'll just bore you to death.

I'm going to say something rather meaningless, yet brings ideas and perceptions. Its something to do with music ( of course ). The damper pedal. Yes, the damper pedal on the piano. The damper pedal is a tool attached to the piano which when stepped and played a note at the same time, prolongs the note for a long time until you release the pedal. Sounds meaningless? Or the other way around. Whatever it may be, que sera sera, I'm going on. Ready? here goes.

There is a damper pedal in each and every one of us. You know who stepped on this pedal? Our mother. Our mum. They stepped on our damper pedal from the day we were in their stomach. She never lets go of it. She keeps stepping on it, even though it hurts a lot, and strains a lot. When we were born, she did not let go. Not even an inch. Suffering from pain she was, but stepping on the pedal, she was, too. Until the day we turned into kids, She lets go a little, and lets us have a feel on stepping the damper on ourselves. She releases half of it, and BRINGS our feet to the pedal. No, those who think that you did the initiative of being independent, you're wrong. Its she, mother, who brought our feet to the damper. Then we have the feeling, the air of it. There were times when we were a bit scared at the steely felling of the damper. Then, we felt very nice sustaining the pedal. We asked our mum to let go! Of course, she woudn't. But with tears in her eyes, she lets go.

From the first day of the year 2009 until now ( 4th Jan 09 ), 24 people have died in road accidents. Because they have completely let go of their mother and have stepped on the damper pedal without a guide, they slipped. The feet became a little wet, and slipped off the pedal. A mistake can change the life. And, it did. They released the damper pedal, and the heartbeat transposed itself into a staccato half beat. Slowly, it became softened, and...

We need our guide! Jesus Christ, is the eternal guide. With Him as the stopper on the pedal, we shall live eternally in His presence! None, should be, inde-pen-dent.
