Mind you, this is another of my long-winded thesis on life, so, be prepared for this intresting ride.
No. Life is not eternal, and that's an already known fact. Although it is just plain common sense that mortality if for only a limited period of time, it remains standing as a registered fact to be said.
A perennial life, thats immortality, and that is only owned by the One above--God.
An ephemeral life, thats mortality and thats us.
Hence, the creation of the title perennially ephemeral for men's life.
The pioneered DNA cloning with a hope that species can live forever has been proven unsuccesfull. In most cases, organisms even die in a much faster pace. Thus, men can never claim a perennial life. Once you are born into this world, you are born to be dead. Truly, after deep thoughts and controversy between me and my own mind, I come to a hypothesis that people, animals, and vegetations are born to die. That's the humane purpose in life without the account of God and the social world. The hypothesis is tested through the blind observation of mankind, which jumps to a conclusion that all men die. All animals die. And all vegetations die, even if they live for a very long span. Well, around two weeks ago, the death of King Of Pop Michael Jackson was announced and that really shooked and shock the world. It shocked me too. I was stunned and my staring in disbelief at the news was comparable to a goldfish's eyes looking blankly at you. The Greatest Entertainer In The World, as his first music producer put him. With written condolences from Nelson Mandela, Diana Ross, celebrity tributes by diva Mariah Carey, talented Stevie Wonder, his valediction was certainly of a top class stunner, not to mention even greater mourned than the death of a ruling king. And then we try to ask ourselves, why is his death so greatly mourned? Wasn't he just another living being? A walking creature with 4 limbs and two which unify the ground and get weary after twenty metres of walk? Wasn't he like you, and me? We were the same, but why the attention? My great-grandmother, living very well past 51, did not have such "grandeur" of the likes of the King. So, did he actually deserve the overly loud and echoistic funeral and memorial?
Logically, no.
Simbolically, yes.
Humanely, yes.
Rasionall, no.
Economy wise, no.
Memorably, yes.
Meritoriously, yes.
A short lasting life similar to that of King Of Rock 'n' Roll Elvis Presley's. Michael Joseph Jackson, who wed Lisa Marie Presley, and later divorced and wed Devvie Rowe in a short time said that if he died early.. It seemed that he predicted his life, but how well did he predict it? He did not leave anything behind, there was no statement seen. He just collapsed from cardiac arrest *read: heartattack* and just died like that. So, how well and precise can you predict your DEATH? Men can no longer live forever. Not like the lives of Noah, Moses, and those of their generation who lived up to 700 years old.
When do you die?
Before you turn 90?
After your marriage?
After your last son is born?
After you graduate from Harvard?
Next year?
Next month?
Next week?
Tomorrow?
Tonight?
An hour later?
5 minutes after this?
The next moment?
Now?
Don't tell me you know. No one on Earth can possibly say that. Doctors say that you have 3 months to live are lieing to you. Who knows? Maybe an earthquake occurs in the middle of nowhere and it just trembles across the miles, comes to your room, and just breaks the ceiling in your room, causing the million dollar chandeliar come crushing down on you, defecting your bones, muscles, and your body? Lastly your spirit?
How can someone make a promise when he doesn't even know that the day mentioned in the promise will ever arrive? I promise, I swear, take my word... These are nonsense. So, don't promise anymore. Just do what you ought to do, and do not owe debts. Clear them, for you do not know whether you'll be seeing angels or demons the next thing you DIE.
I'd want to see Jesus.
I despise Lucifer.
But I know for sure that my life will be perennial when I get called upon.
What about you?
What are you waiting for?
"the last thing i'll want to see in my immortality, is fire."
Perennially Ephemeral
